The Double Tree Inn can be found in downtown Spokane, Washington. This is a very unique 15-story convention hotel, which has 275 rooms for guests to enjoy a good night’s sleep. However, there is something underlying that many guests may not realize. The inn is haunted.
The history of the inn is quite slim and what may have been here before is not known. What is known is that in late October of 1998, a businessman that was staying at the inn committed suicide on the 15th floor. His suicide was not explained, but some speculate the cause of his death was due to the Halloween party that could have awakened some unfriendly spirits.
Today, many guests especially those that stay on the 15th floor report seeing shadowy apparitions and noises they cannot explain. These shadowy ghosts are also seen throughout the inn.
The noises however, have only been reported on the 15th floor. If you decide to visit maybe, you should ask for a room on the first floor, at least this way you can escape if ghosts happen to disturb your sleep.
The 15th floor maybe where all the ghosts live, however, many guests love the Gold Room as well. This is where many special events and receptions are held.
