The Salt Lake City Cemetery in Salt Lake City, Utah houses a grave with an unusual and mystifying epitaph. The grave stone of one Lily E. Gray reads "Victim of the Beast 666". This is a biblical reference to the Antichrist and the Devil/Satan, the number 666 or 'six hundred threescore and six' is accepted as the sign of the Beast.
The antichrist is the antithesis to Jesus Christ and it is said his appearance on earth signals the apocalypse or end of time and the world as we know it. The Antichrist is said to be the one that will sire the Devil who will then bring about chaos and the destruction of mankind.
Lilly E. Gray's grave stone and it's inscription remain a mystery as none has ever even been able to ascertain who ordered the epitaph or why she was said to be 'the victim of the beast' when she apparently died of natural causes.
