Sens Sign McKenna

New Sen Mike McKenna in action for New Jersey last season

The Senators added a little depth for Binghamton today, signing goalie Mike McKenna to a one year, 2 way deal. He will likely be used as a backup in the AHL, spelling Robin Lehner when he needs a rest. He is a St Louis native and a St Lawrence University alumn. Apparently he is no stranger to Ottawa according to his tweet below, in fact it holds a special place in his memory one would imagine.

And although McKenna is American, he sounds pretty excited to be playing in Canada, and really excited to be part of our organization. It's always nice to have some positivity around the players. Welcome to the team Mike. I look forward to your tweets and seeing you play.
