First off, sorry for the lack of posts, but I'm on a vaykay in Florida at the moment and just haven't had that much time to post, but I'm going to do so soon, but this was too important to pass up. Welcome to Daniel Alfredsson day. You may be asking yourself, what makes today Alfie day. Let me explain. Today is 11/11/11 and it seems only fitting that we would be playing the Buffalo Sabres and in Buffalo doesn't it? The team he routinely kills and scored his most famous goal against. Celebrate Alfie day by doing whatever you think befits the legend.
A movie about immortals dressed as Romans comes out the same day as Alfie day hmmmmmmmm. Coincidence? Probably. But awesome tribute anyways. Thanks Hollywood. Even the tag line seems fitting. The Gods need a hero. Alfie is thy name.
And last but definitely not least, today is Remembrance Day in Canada, so take some time out of your day and reflect on the sacrifices that were necessary to make us the great country we are today.
