"Carlos Beltran and the World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals agreed to a two-year contract pending results of a physical. The $26 million deal includes a full no-trade clause, a source told ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick (ESPN)."
I don't mind this deal at all for the Cardinals. Beltran is no Pujols, but he will help fill the void a bit, plus it's only a two year deal which is exactly what I thought Beltran was worthy of. At this point I would have loved the Red Sox to get involved, but since they aren't spending money this offseason I guess that was off the table.
