Well the streak is over. The one good thing that comes out of it is that I can finally pick these games for real instead of just picking them to lose, because for whatever reason that was working.
Assuming Seguin woke up on time this morning, I feel good about this game. Even though the Bruins lost last game they did put 40 shots on net. They just couldn't finish, you know who knows how to finish.. Seguin. Consider the message sent, and I think all the vets on the Bruins will be all over him. Plus, he has to feel like shit they he cost them a game, and a chance to take over 1st place in the East.
For that reason I think the Bruins come out hot tonight, and really beat the hell out of the Panthers, who are having a surprisingly good season. Panthers improved to 6-2-1 over their last nine with a 5-4 win over Washington on Monday, and have scored five goals in back-to-back games. Still, I expect Thomas to be in net tonight, and that should easily end that little streak by the Panthers. Tim Thomas is 10-0-0 with a 1.69 goals-against average since Nov. 1, and is 5-0-1 with a 0.97 GAA in his last six starts versus Florida.
Bruins win 4-1
Player of the Game: Seguin/Thomas
Game starts at 7pm
