Packers Coach Son Found Dead

"A body pulled from a river in Oshkosh, Wis., Monday has been positively identified as that of 21-year-old Michael Philbin, son of Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin, a source close to the family tells ESPN."

Really sad news. If I remember correctly this kid had been in trouble in the past (sexual assault I think), but I have no idea what happened here. There were reports that he wondered on to some ice and a security guard heard screams for help. Why is was out there we will probably never know, he was out with his buddies partying that night, so maybe he was just wasted.

No parent should ever have to bury their kid, and I am sure this will be weighing heavily on the entire team. That being said, I don't see this having much affect on the game this weekend. McCarthy calls his owns plays, and when he doesn't Rodgers does, so I just don't it see it changing the game plan. You could make the argument that it could be a distraction, but I could also argue that it could be a rally cry. Win one for coach Philbin.

Just a sad, sad story.
