The Journal Sentinel reports the Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to send guard Keyon Dooling and a conditional 2012 second round pick to the Boston Celtics.
The transaction should be completed Friday.
The Celtics will use the $2.38 million trade exception from Marquis Daniels to accept Dooling's $2.24 million cap number. ESPN
Why this is important is because since Dooling is a tweener like guard between a 1/2 this could mean the end of Delonte West. Dooling is 6'3 and can play the 1 or 2, but his size is more fit for the 1. He averaged 7 points last year and 3 assists and will be fine to back up Rondo. Dooling was once the 10th pick in the NBA draft at one time so there is talent there.
Where Dooling excels is at defense, he was once considered an "elite" defender and in a Celtics program that screams defense he should be a fit under Doc's tutelage.
I just like how the Celtics are starting to fill their vision.
