Why Not?

Ehhhh.......... can't blame him, I hate bikers too

This Pisses Me Off

So apparently Chris brown and Rihanna are back together and were spotted last night at he birthday party canoodling and grinding.

I don't get it at all. My gf and seemingly every girl in America (including Rihanna) is willing to completely ignore that this guy is bat shit crazy and nearly killed a woman. I mean during his Grammy performance I nearly threw up when I went on twitter to see that every women had the tweet, "I would let him beat me". WTF has America came to? If you can dance and put on a performance are we all supposed to forget he beat the shit out of Rihanna. And what is the deal with Rihanna going back with him? She basically took every women who has been beat by a spouse, made money off it and slapped them in the face.

I'm outraged.

89 Bulls, 80 Celtics

I'm pissed. I try to see everything in a positive light and try to build on even losses, but the passed couple of games have killed me. I don't know, I don't know what is going to happen with the team.

I'm in full panic mode right now, there is no way that Danny Ainge is not going to blow the team up and trade my favorite player in Rondo. This loss is completely inexcusable, well, I guess so was the Detroit loss too. But fuck man.

How do we score only 80 points? How is our offense so bad? We have scorers, we have players that are all star caliber, how are we so bad? I'm at a loss of words right now and depressed.

I fear March big time.

This Guy Is Awesome

Everything about this picture makes me laugh. This was taken during the Florida/ Bama game.

Rob Gronkowski Is Kind Of An Asshole

I know this is a little old, but I have a lot of stuff go on from then and now to write this post like trying to get killed by a Vermont Drug Dealer and get the worst food poisoning of all time. Anyways, I went to the Celtics/ Lakers last week and obviously it was a devastating loss. And Rob Gronkowski, Vince Wilfork and other Patriots were at the game. Every time they were put on the big screen people were chanting and were cheering, etc. When the game was over, Gronkowski was openly celebrating and then was taking pictures with Kobe and so on an so forth. This really rubbed me the wrong way, you have all these people who are at the Celtics game against a rival and cheer for you after the devastating Superbowl loss, and then you celebrate with the Lakers and Kobe Bryant? Fucking dumb. I am completely with Rodney Harrison and others when it comes to him jumping on around the ankle that pretty much cost them a Superbowl after the game (also, I am equally disappointed at Matt Light too).

I don't know what his deal is or if he's just really dumb, but he needs to cool it. In my eyes as a football fan, I was disgusted with seeing him after the Superbowl and in person, I thought he was an asshole. And before everyone jumps down my throat for me being a Steeler fan, I have talked to a couple of die hard Patriot fans that feel the same way.

TCU Goes Down Hard

FORT WORTH, Texas – Seventeen Texas Christian University students, including four football players, were arrested Wednesday morning in a massive drug selling sting that has rattled the campus and the Big 12 conference. The arrests were part of a six-month undercover operation by the Fort Worth police department and the TCU campus police. The four athletes arrested are top linebacker Tanner Brock; defensive lineman D.J. Yendry; offensive tackle Tyler Horn; and cornerback Devin Johnson, according to Fort Worth police documents. “We have a responsibility to ensure that our campus environment is healthy and safe,” said Chancellor Victor Boschini, Jr. “I want to make it loud and clear to everybody that if you want to do this kind of thing, you can’t go to TCU.” All of the students are subject to immediate expulsion. “There’s no doubt all arrested today are drug dealers,” said TCU Police Chief Steven McGee. “These students engaged in hand-to-hand delivery with undercover officers.” The students communicated via social media, McGee said. The drugs involved included marijuana, cocaine, “molly” — a powdered form of ecstacy, ecstacy pills, and prescription drugs like Xanax, Hydrocodone and Oxycontin, McGee said. TCU just recently joined the Big 12 conference, a huge change for the nationally-recognized team. Four of the arrested students are football team members.

You know, once you you join a big conference like the Big 12 it's tradition that you kick it off with a big scandal. And these kids did it big by not only being 4 of 17 people to be involved in this mega drug ring, but for being decent players on the team. Tanner Brock was a conference defensive player of the year and is going to be a huge loss to the team, I don't know much about the other guys but it obviously puts a black eye on TCU going into the year. I guess if you were going to TCU you were looking for the ring of drug dealers because look at the variety of drugs they had Pot, Ecstacy, Uppers and Downers. BMack would have been stoked if he knew these guys during our years at school, all the drugs listed above was the cocktale he took before even going out.

98 Pistons, 88 Celtics

This would have been a great win, but the injuries and defensive lapses killed them. The story of the game had they won would have been Rajon Rondo who was the only person who was being aggressive. Rondo finished with 35 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. He shot 15 for 27 from the field and was just on fire. Wilcox and Jujuan Johnson had decent games as well with 17 and 10. Pierce and Allen were non existent.

This game felt like what could potentially happen after the big 3 is gone. Rondo did everything in his power to win and everyone else was mediocre. I don't know what is going on with Pierce but this is the 2nd straight stinker he has put up with 10 points on 3-11 shooting, but I wonder if it has to do with Rondo's big game. I have hinted at it before but it seems when Rondo has a monster scoring game, Pierce has a bad game. I wonder if it's coincidence, I hope so. Because if it is the issue, then that explains a lot when Rondo only has 10ish points and defers the ball the whole game.

Ben Gordan killed us and the play that killed us was when Avery Bradly for some reason decided to double team Greg Monroe and leave Ben Gordan (who has been on fire) wide open at the 3. That play put the Pistons in the lead for good and gave them all the motivation. After that Pierce/ Allen couldn't get a shot.

This loss really annoys me. Especially since it's before a long, tough road trip.

Why Not?

This Asian boy is ridiculous at Whitney Houston?

Yankees Trading AJ Burnett to Pirates

The Pirates and Yankees have the framework that will send the Yankees bust to Pittsburgh for probably nothing. Burnett has 2 years, 33 million dollars left on his contract and the Yankees are willing to eat most of it.

I like the deal for the Yankees as they are dumping someone who has been a problem on and off the mound. Plus they have Phil Hughes and Freddy Garcia still to be the number 5 pitcher.

As for the Pirates? Why not. There is a chance that in Pittsburgh he can thrive. There is no pressure and the hitting in the NL is a lot different than the AL East. It wouldn't surprise me if he won 12+ games for the Pirates.

So Why Am I A Fan?

So when I was away, I saw some comments questioning why I am a fan of random school and places, here it is.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Kordell Stewart (OK get the gay jokes out of the way). My brother went to UC Boulder in the early 90's and was there during the Hail Mary at Michigan and when Colorado was number 1 in the country. So I already idolized him, and when he went to the Steelers it was a match made in heaven. He was originally slash and then turned into a pro bowl QB. Unfortunately, my fan hood of him didn't realize he wasn't that great, but whatever.

Why UK?

Because Jamal Mashburn and Antoine Walker were my favorite players of all time.

When Jamal Mashburn was there in the early 90's I loved everything about that team. I loved the young Tony Delk, and 5'9 Travis Ford dominating. I thought that Jamal was going to be the greatest player ever, and although he wasn't, he was a solid player for a long time.

Antoine Walker carried that on with Kentucky actually winning a championship with him on it. That team had a older Tony Delk and I LOVE WALTAHHHH on it.

So when Pitino came on to coach the Celtics, I loved that he tried to make the Celtics Kentucky..... but it failed miserable.

Alabama;

I wasn't an Alabama fan at all, I didn't like them because I wasn't a big fan of the state of Alabama to begin with.

But when I was moving to New Orleans a hurricane was hitting it and I was stuck in Tuscaloosa for a while and it happened to be the start of the college football season. The people there were super nice, they gave us free meals, and let me run around Bryant Denny Stadium alone. It was sweet.

They were playing Clemson to start off that season in Atlanta, and you would have never known. The bar where we were at was packed and during every kickoff, touchdown, etc. the bar would go silent and the fight song would go on. Something I never had at URI.

So even though that's my most recent fan hood. Fuck it, they earned it.

So now you get it, fuck off.

95 Boston, 91 Bulls

I don't care that the Bulls were without Derek Rose, beating the best team in the NBA is still impressive. After Rondo getting thrown under the bus for the past week it was good to see him shut up all of his critics with putting on a stellar triple double performance.

Rajon Rondo is my favorite player on the team, he does frustrate me with inconsistency and I don't understand how he doesn't have these numbers every game. Last night Rondo slashed, passed and rebounded like a machine and finished up with 32 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds. He was an absolute monster, and when he plays aggressive like that, Kobe, Rose or CP3 wouldn't be able to slow him down. Best thing about last night he shot (10-13 from the line)

Hopefully this is the tipping point for him, where he realizes this is now HIS team and he needs to be the focal point.

The underlying story is that when Rondo plays like this Pierce suffers a bit and last night was no exception. The Truth finished with 9 points, and shot 4-10. Maybe he just had a bad game and I'm reading too much into this.

KG had a good double double with 13 points and 12 boards and Jujuan Johnson continues to impress me with chipping in 12 points himself.

Good win

Celtics vs Lakers Preview

Depth Chart

Los Angeles (PPG)
Boston (PPG)
PG D. Fisher 5.4R. Rondo 13.6
SG K. Bryant 29.3R. Allen 14.9
SF M. Barnes 6.7P. Pierce 18.4
PF P. Gasol 16.4K. Garnett 14.0
C A. Bynum 17.1J. O'Neal 5.4

During the Celtics hot streak where they have won 9 of 10 people have been poo pooing it due to lack of competition (even though they have beaten Orlando twice, Pacers and Grizzlies), so tonight will be a big game in the eyes of the media (even though the Lakers have struggled too) to give the Celtics credit. I'll be at the game court side, so I really hope I get to watch Kobe lose.

The Celtics bigmen will be pushed today. Jermaine O'Neal will probably get a technical and most likely will get into a pushing match with Andrew Bynum. But I like the way Jermaine has been playing defense and rebounding recently, so I think he and Chris Wilcox will be holding their own. KG does a good job against Gasol and like when we play them in the finals, if KG can push him around he will wilt.

Then there is the Kobe/ Pierce match up which is always fun. Both are elite scorers, but Kobe has been struggling shooting and regressing into shoot the Lakers out of the game recently. Now that Pierce has Birds record, he will be relaxed and play a better game.

Rondo should push it against Fisher every time he has the ball, this is the only match up where we have a HUGE advantage. If Rondo can not only create, but attack the basket I like the green.

Celtics: 95-89
Tommy Award: Paul Pierce

Look for me, I'll be the one jumping on the court and hugging KG at the end of the game.

Also, want to see a weird picture? Here is Kobe pre draft working out for the Celtics:

Why Not?

Why Not watch Will Ferrell do NBA introductions?

I think all teams should do this

Yoenis Cespedes Will Probably Go To Miami

So Cuban superstar Yoenis Cespedes is in Miami getting a tour of the City/ Park and has admitted he wants to play there, so with that, and the fact the Marlins are going out of control with spending, I see it as a fit.

I really like Cespedes, he has blazing speed, plus arm, excellent power, but average is the only question. If he is surrounded by big bats in a line up like Hanley Ramirez and Jose Reyes, that will be masked.

I would love for the Sox to throw their hat in the ring, but the way they are acting it makes me want to puke. Cubans are a weird breed when it comes to playing over here, but I think this guy is as guaranteed as they come.

Duke/ UNC Instant Classic

Duke's Austin Rivers and his 3 pointer at the buzzer knocked off (5) UNC 85 to 84.

I haven't been impressed by Austin River or Duke all year but last night was just a hell of a game. The tempo was Duke's all game long, they often had UNC in the half court set and they were just draining 3 after 3 all game long as they knocked 14 down. Duke of course was led by Austin Rivers (Doc's son) with 29 points and obviously the three over Tyler Zeller. But it was a total team effort for Duke, Plumlee had 14 boards and Seth Curry and Ryan Kelly chipped in with 15 points each.

Now onto UNC who played horrific defense. I don't know about everyone else, but Harrison Barnes has disappointed me. Yes, he had 25 points last night, but I haven't really see him dominate a game from start to finish. He looked disinterested in the 1st half, and if it weren't for Tyler Zeller (23 points, 11 rebounds) UNC would have lost by 20 at home.

If anyone isn't watching college bball this year, you are missing a ton of awesome games and really good teams.

Kentucky Is Unstoppable

Kentucky has made two SEC teams look like JV teams the past 2 games, first was South Carolina and yesterday against (7) Florida. Kentucky absolutely rolled Florida 78 to 58 and if there are any gamblers out there, here's a secret bet the over in both spread and total points.

Kentucky is a pro team playing against a bunch of schmucks, I bet 6 players on this team end up on a NBA roster and at least 5 of the 6 could be 1st round picks and out of those 5, 3 of them will be lottery picks in Michael Kidd- Gilchrist, Anthony Davis and Terrence Jones.

With Kentucky's win it has easily passed its toughest Southeastern Conference test to date for its 49th straight home win. I don't think there is no way, no how they lose in the tournament let alone for the rest of the season. Calipari has done a masterful job once again.

“She just needs to continue to be cute and shut up,”

NY Post – Giants running back Brandon Jacobs has some advice for budding football analyst Gisele Bundchen. “She just needs to continue to be cute and shut up,” Jacobs said of Tom Brady’s wife at the MetLife Stadium rally for the Super Bowl champion Giants. Bundchen was extremely critical of the Patriots receivers after they dropped several passes in their 21-17 Super Bowl XLVI loss on Sunday. “I mean she’s supposed to stay out of things like that,” Osi Umenyiora said Tuesday. “But at the end of the day that’s their relationship and she has the right to say whatever she wants to.”

This is probably going to be one of my last Superbowl posts because I think I've basked in Patriot tears enough, however, I have mixed emotions about Brandon Jacobs saying, “She just needs to continue to be cute and shut up” when talking about Gisele. On the 1st part, I think she should Shut up and be cute secondly I don't know if this is breaking a code but if I were a player I certainly wouldn't publicly bash another players wife because I feel that would add more motivation to another team. Brandon Jacobs is an asshole, so I guess what he says shouldn't be taken that seriously.

But....... If I were Tom Brady, I would probably say this to my wife after she just finished bashing players that I'm going to be around for basically 8 months a year.

I Can't Believe I Rooted For This Team During The Superbowl

So the Giants had a parade Yesterday and when a reporter asked who this girl wanted to see the most, she screamed SANCHEZZZZZ! I know I give Boston a real hard time for pink hats and bandwagoners, but since I don't live in NY it doesn't effect me other than when I visit my GF's family or since college (The U.... of RI) so when I saw this, it instantly made me hate the Giants again. This is the bullshit that made me hate the Patriots (see Captain, stop taking credit for my hate) and made my stay in New Orleans necessary for me to get away from the Red Sox "fans" because they were starting to get to the tipping point of me not wanting to support the team. Boston people can be as aggravating as New Yorkers and be bandwagoners and just as fair weathered. I also know that winning breeds these type of people, but if you are going to follow the team do me a favor and know who your fucking quarterback is.

However, I can imagine this girl is one of many New Yorkers who feel the same way. This girl is the girl who claims she's a HUGE Yankee fan and then when you ask her about the team her favorite player is JETER and she can't name who the right fielder is or 2-5 starters. These are the people that stress me out more than anything in life.

Knee Jerk Reactions: Where Does Paul Pierce Rank In Celtics History

The Celtics have a plethora of players that are Hall of Famers and all-time greats. Last night, once Pierce got the record, I checked the stats of the other guys and read up about a lot of these hall of Famers because a lot played before I was alive or very young. So here is my top 5 list:

I think number 1 and 2 aren't negotiable. You can't go out and talk about Celtics history without talking about Bill Russell, hell, the MVP award in the NBA Championship is named after him. He has 11 rings in 13 years playing and is arguably the best Center that has ever lived. Russell averaged 15.1 points and 22.2 rebounds for his career with the team. In 1959-1960, arguably his best season with the team, Russell was putting up 18.2 points and 24 rebounds per game for the team—numbers unthinkable in today's game.

2. Larry Bird.
Obviously an All Time great player, and one of the most interesting players that has ever lived. Bird was a scorer who could do it all, much like Pierce—whether it was with his jump shot, free-throw shooting or three-ball. He was able to win three championships and made a lot of his offense work with his stagnant, in-your-face defensive play and all out hustle. He averaged 20.2 points per game, 9 assists and 7 assists.

3. John Havlicek.
Havlicek is most known for stealing a ball, however, he was a hell of a player. He won championships in 8 of his 16 years alongside of Bill Russell. He averaged 20.8 ppg and 6.3 rebounds per game. He also still has a strong influence with the Celtics today as he often comes to practices and tells Danny and Doc plays.

4. Paul Pierce.
I was tempted to put him as 3, because he's the best scorer in Celtics history. He can score in all facets of the game whether he has a step back, 3 pointer, get to the basket and most importantly his ability to get to the line(where he owns the Celtics record for attempts and baskets). Also he was a great clutch player. He used to be a one dimensional player back in the Antoine days, but since he committed to defense as well I trust him with the best of them "locking" up LeBron or Kobe Bryant. Pierce has averaged 22.2 points per game for his career and 21.4 points per game in the playoffs.

5. Kevin McHale.
He is a three-time NBA champion that won titles in 1981, 1984 and 1986 with the Celtics. He was the 2 in the original Big 3 alongside Larry Bird and Robert Parish. McHale would help this team win three championships in six seasons. He averaged 17.9 points and 7.3 rebounds and played with the Celtics until the 1993 season. In the 1986 championship season, McHale averaged 21.3 points and 8.1 rebounds for the season. McHale is known to being one of the best post players ever.

6th man, Bob Cousy

94 Celtics, 84 Bobcats

Although it wasn't the prettiest game, It is pretty awesome that Paul Pierce is now the Celtics 2nd All-Time leading scorer. Pierce didn't have the best scoring stats, but had 15 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists. The funny thing about the play in which Paul Pierce hit the three, is on the next defensive possession Jermaine O'Neal celebrated the achievement by getting a technical. Once he passed it, they played a tribute video and he thanked the crowd.

As for the game, it was a collective effort with 4 out of 5 starters in double figures and Brandon bass scoring 13. Kevin Garnett led the team with 22 points and 7 rebounds, while Ray had 17 and Rondo had 10 points and 14 assists. Kevin Garnett has been on fire, he should absolutely be an all star reserve and is a different player than he was in the beginning of the year.

They played decent defense and have now one 5 straight and 9-10. On another note, the Celtics guaranteed Greg Steimsma's contract so he will be around for the rest of the year. he brings some toughness to the team.
