Just when we thought Jewish people were making a significant impact in sports with Ryan Braun winning the NL MVP, we found out this weekend that he failed a PED test and will most likely be suspended 50 games next season.
I guess the test didn't show he failed because of Steroids or HGH but another banned substance. I've always been one to stick up for steroids and people that have used them in the past, but this positive test is disheartening. We are moving past the "steroid era" and even if it wasn't for steroids or HGH, he should have been more careful when taking whatever was banned and should have asked someone.
Even if we found out there was something wrong with the test, this will most certainly tarnish Ryan Braun's career figuring people want to kill people who have only had been guilty of speculation of taking steroids. Either way, I hope somehow this gets cleared up.
P.S. I am completely fine with Braun keeping his MVP title. He should.
