Marreese Speights was moved Wednesday in a three-team trade that fetched the Sixers second-round picks from the Memphis Grizzlies (2012) and the New Orleans Hornets (2013), New Orleans got guard Xavier Henry.
I really like this deal for New Orleans and understand it for Memphis, but don't understand it for Philly. Speights is a guy who doesn't pass up many shots, but he is still a young player that can be a tough matchup. Memphis needed a big body since Zach Randolph is out 6-8 weeks with a torn ligament in the knee, also they have a plethora of guards. However, I really like Xavier Henry, he's one year out and I think he still has a ton of potential. New Orleans just got younger, and deeper going forward.
