Red Sox Sign Aaron Cook

The Red Sox have agreed to terms with right-hander Aaron Cook on a minor league contract, if he makes it to the majors he will make $1.5 million. This is what I have been telling you will be the moves made by the Red Sox. It's going to be a bunch of small moves and their philosophy will be if they throw enough shit at the wall something will stick. They in no way want to have to payout another big contract, or have to deal with that luxury tax. Do I like it? No, not really. Maybe they weren't busy going out and buying soccer teams with Lebron they could sit back and focus on the Red Sox. Yet, maybe they are right and maybe they just need this roster to come together, but please do not sit back in expect a guy like Edwin Jackson to be walking through that door.

As for Cook, he is a groundball pitcher that really has never been anything special. He is a good guy to have in your minors to fill in for some starts, but not a guy I'd be happy with in the rotation.
