Shaking Off The Steelers Loss and Getting To My Other Team In The National Championship

Tonight is the anticipated match up between (2) Alabama and (1) LSU. In the last match up it was an absolute snooze fest and Bama gave LSU the game. Alabama is a much better team, they have a better defense, better running game, and could argue their passing game is more consistent.

Heisman finalist Trent Richardson will be a big factor of this game. If you remember in the last match up Trent had 170 total yards (90 rushing, 80 reception) and he will be a force in this game. Other than a stupid trick play called by Nick Saban, not giving Trent Richardson the ball enough killed Bama's chances. Nick Saban played not to lose rather than to win the game. If Saban let's AJ McCarron throw the ball and challenge the LSU defense every once in a while that will go a far way. Enough bubble screens to WRs and I want to see some shots down field.

McCarron the Crimson Tide’s quarterback, who put up 2,400 yards, a 16:5 TD:INT and a 66.7 completion percentage for a 149.8 rating. He’ll have a much better game tonight and do a lot better than he was the first time against LSU, when he completed just 16 of 28 passes for 199 yards and also turned the ball over twice.

I don't worry about LSU's offense at all. I think Jordan Jefferson is a mistake waiting to happen and Jarret Lee doesn't impress anybody. Alabama's defense will be able to clamp down on the Tigers offense.

The biggest weapon the Tigers have offensively is WR Rueben Randle, who has compiled 50 receptions for 904 yards and 8 TDs. And during their first meeting he just had 2 catches for 19 yards. I see the same thing happening this game as well with Dre Kirkpatrick and Mark Barron.

LSU's offense will be suffocated by the Tide's defense, and the LSU defense will let up 2 big plays.

You can book this Alabama will roll over LSU easily tonight and the MVP of the game will be AJ McCarron.
