DP and I have been telling you for awhile now that it seems like Oswalt doesn't want any part of the Boston Red Sox. There are reports out today that Oswalt would accept the terms of a 1 year $5 million deal, but just not with the Red Sox. He wants either the Cardinals or the Rangers.
I'm not overly high on Oswalt. I think there is a good chance he'd get hurt, adn I am not sure how he would do in the AL East. What pisses me off is the Red Sox not signing Jackson (or Madson) to 1 year deals. So there is an under 30 year old pitcher, that seemingly never gets hurt, and is a good 4/5 starter yet you can't cough up $10 million? Sorry, we are the Red Sox, you are billionaires that buy soccer teams, so I don't want to hear it.
After the devastating Patriots loss I wish I was pumped for the Red Sox season. I really hope I am wrong, but I just don't see this team being better then the Rays or the Yankees. Rays pitching staff is going to be insane, and the Yankees have great bats, and a much improved rotation. What have the Sox done? Mediocre moves in RF and bullpen, and lost our starting SS. Sweet.
Go Bruins.
