Wiercioch Discharged From Hospital

Binghamton defenceman Patrick Wiercioch has made some progress since being hit in the throat with a puck on Friday night against Norfolk, as he has been released from the hospital and will be recovering at home. No word yet how long the recovery may take or if this will have an impact on his hockey career. It seems everything is quite tight lipped at the moment but very nice to see him doing better. Good luck with the rehab Patty.

Carkner To Bingo

Sens defenceman Matt Carkner is gettng close to returning to action, so he has been sent to the Sens AHL team in Binghamton for a conditioning stint to get him into game shape. Carkner has yet to play a game for the Sens this year after having surgery on his knee in September. Matt is no stranger to the B-Sens, having playing 134 games for them previously. This move makes it appear that he will be back ready to play in the NHL in a week or so.

Regin Out......Again

Danish centre Peter Regin will once again be sidelined after another shoulder injury took place at the hands of Nik Antropov in the game against Winnipeg last wee. Regin will not require surgery but he will be lost for 6-8 weeks, which isn't good news for a team already extremely thin on offensive talent at the moment. It is the same shoulder he had previously injured. This Jensen kid has no lkuck. What was once a promising NHL career is going down the tubes at fast. Let's hope he can turn it around.

Thoughts?
