7th Heaven
Insane is the word to describe the Sens 6-5 overtime in game 7 last night. Here is the series winner, courtesy of Ryan Potulny. The BSens win the Series 4-3 and are the 16th team in AHL history to come back from a 3-1 series deficit. Potulny in addition to the OT winner, had himself a 5 point night, and now leads the AHL playoffs in scoring. Unbelievable!
Even more incredible, the BSens become only the 2nd team in AHL history to win all 4 games of a series in overtime. They will now take on the Portland Pirates in round 2.
B-Sens Win In OT Again, Force Game 7
The Binghamton Senators live to fight another day, beating Manchester in overtime yet again, this time 2-1, forcing a game 7. The hero tonight was Geoff Kinrade, who scored the season saving goal at 10:01 of the 2nd extra period.
Definitely not to be forgotten is Robin Lehner, who set a Bingo record with 51 saves in the win against Manchester. Game 7 is Saturday night at 7pm in Manchester, New Hampshire. Good luck boys, make us proud.
B-Sens Keep Season Alive In Extra Time
B-Sens Doubled Up
The Binghamton Senators are on the verge of losing their 1st round series with Manchester, after losing 6-3 tonight, despite outshooting them 38-26. Binghamton now trail the series 3 games to 1 after losing both games at home so far. Let's see if they can rebound in game 5. If they don't their season is over.
Binghamton v Manchester Game 3 Highlights
Gave you the pictures and final score in previous post, now we have some highlights of the massive collapse.
Thoughts?
Binghamton @ Manchester Game 2
The Sens evened their first round series of the Calder Cup playoffs last night at one game apiece, winning a thrilling game in Overtime on a goal from rookie Derek Grant 4mins into the extra frame. The Sens were down 3-0 going into the 3rd, but tied it up quickly after 2 prompt goals from Potulny and Keller, before taking a surprising lead at 3-2 on a goal from Kaspars Daugavins on the powerplay.
It looked like smooth sailing and a great comeback win for the B-Sens, but Manchester wouldn't go away and tied it up with just one minute to play in regulation. No fear, after a nice save from Brust, the Sens marched down and ended the game with the OT tally. Series tied at 1's, heading back to Binghamton for game 3 on Sunday.
Thoughts on the game?
Binghamton @ Manchester Game 1
Here are the highlight's from tonight's playoff game of our farm team, the Binghamton Senators. The B-Sens fell 2-1 to the Monarchs and look to rebound for game 2 tomorrow. By the way, I know there was only 40 seconds left when the Sens score and it was 2-0 at the time, but why is the arena basically emtpy? Trying to be that brutal Manchester traffic I suppose, pretty weak.
