Longtime director of communications for the Sens Phil Leagult has been fired by the Ottawa Senators. No reason has been given at this time but I am working on it. There's nothing official from the Sens yet, but it's a done deal, he has been let go.
Need more proof? Check out his twitter page, that used to mention the Sens as his employer and no longer does, while also the condolences from Steve Lloyd and others. I've also heard hockey ops' Chad Schella may have been let go too, but that's just a rumor for now.
You probably don't know who Phil was, but he was in charge of players interviews, media availability, press releases etc. He had been there a very long time, so somewhat shocked/curious to find out what happened. If anyone knows feel free to let me know via email. I guess these are some of the changes to the organization we were promised, though this is hardly a significant move.
