Can you believe it's game day already? Seems like it was forever ago and yet at the same time it came so fast in some ways. It only seems right that we're starting it off with a battle of Ontario match up doesn't it? Here are a couple of housekeeping items that are making news.

-Up and coming prospect Mark Stone has signed an entry level contract today. Good to have him in the fold, especially with all the progress he's made in the past 6 months.

-Jesse Winchester has been lost for the pre-season due to an injury. No great loss to me.

-The Senators did the right thing and acknowledged the leaked jersey was indeed the final product.

-You can always count on The Euge to say something ummm well I'll let you find the adjective.

-New photos have been posted of Craig Anderson's mask.

Melnyk Doesn't Understand What A Poker Face Is

These were The Euge's comments from an interview during the 1st intermission of the Memorial Cup Semi Final last night. It was a game that his team ended up winning, and I can just see a potential CHL championship as the crappy excuse used to justify his hiring. Are we really supposed to believe that Melnyk, a guy who pays MILLIONS and MILLIONS of dollars a year to operate the team, isn't going to get the guy he just publicly said he wanted? Poker face Eugene, poker face.
