More Awesome Celtics News

Paul Pierce won't play in tonight's final exhibition game against the Raptors (some problem with his heel) and there is now concern he may not be available for the regular season opener against the Knicks on Christmas. The offseason of awfulness just won't seem to end. I really try to be positive about the Celtics, because I love so much of this team, but it's getting close to the point where you have to think Danny is thinking about blowing everything up.

My guess is right now he wouldn't get the value, but when the trade deadline comes up and the Celtics are battling for the playoffs I think there is a good chance he trades the Celtics expiring contracts (KG/Allen/Jermaine) and attempt to start from scratch. As DP wrote earlier it's looking like free agents don't want to come here, which is a terrible sign, so the only way the Celtics are going to be great again is through the draft and through trades.

I wish I had more hope for this team, but a condensed schedule, the age of this team, the lack of depth, and losing Green/free agents it's just really hard to be.
