Celtics vs Nets Preview

Wow it's been 6 games and this is my first Celtics preview. Tonight the Celtics will be facing the New Jersey Nets and I will be attending the game. The reason why I'm going because I tried sneaking the tickets as a "present" to my girlfriend, because she's from Jersey and Kris Humphries is on the team.

Anyways, onto the game:

Depth Chart

New Jersey (PPG)
Boston (PPG)
PG D. Williams 17.3R. Rondo 16.5
SG S. Gaines 9.3R. Allen 20.0
SF D. James 5.3P. Pierce 14.0
PF S. Williams 3.2K. Garnett 12.8
C J. Petro 4.6J. O'Neal 7.0
As you can see, the Nets aren't very good. They have pretty much struck out at every free agent, and this year they bank their team on PG Deron Williams and Kris Humphries. Humphries is day to day with a shoulder injury, and my guess is that he won't play.

The match up to watch today is Rondo vs Williams. Whenever Rondo plays another top PG it's always fun to watch. Williams is obviously bigger, stronger and has a better shot, but Rondo is faster, is a better play maker, and plays much better D.

The Nets are playing very injured especially in their front court with Brook Lopez out (foot) and Humphries (shoulder) so I would love to see Kevin Garnett to have that break out game. There is no reason he can't with Shawne Williams and Johan Petro patrolling the boards for NJ.

I don't know how to really talk this game up, the Nets are just a really bad team and I can't see a way the Celtics lose this game.

Score: 107-87 Celtics
Tommy Award: Rajon Rondo
