Doc Rivers told reporters in Waltham where the Celtics were conducting practice that Kevin Garnett (hip flexor) and Mickael Pietrus (knee) are both "doubtful" for Wednesday's game against the Pistons at TD Garden.
You add them to a list that already had Bass (knee) and Jermaine O'Neal (vagina). The Celtics are just a banged up team. To be honest though, I think this could be a good thing for the Celtics. It's going to force Doc to play guys like JaJuan Johnson, because the Celtics are just go thin up front right now, and the Celtics are going to need him to get some experience for later in the year.
Doc has said they may be forced to go small, since the only big men left on healthy on the roster are on Wilcox, Stiemsma, Johnson, and perhaps Jermaine. You might actually see Bradley and Rondo on the court together tonight trying to trap, which could take some pressure off their big men. I am honestly interested to see what they will do tonight, because the NBA season is kind of boring and I would like to see more of these young guys to see if they have a future, but even more than that see if they could add a spark when the Celtics are in the playoffs.
