Elliott's ASG Mask

Former Senator Brian Elliott will return to Ottawa this weekend, but this time it will be as an NHL All Star. Hard to believe isn't it? It still sounds weird to even hear, but Elliott got a new mask for the occassion featuring the 2012 All Star logo. To see the rest of the mask click here.

Anderson's New Bucket

Craig Anderson got a new mask for our heritage jersey setup that shows our history and celebrates our 20th anniversary season. Not yet clear if he is only wearing it with the heritage or this is his full time mask but either way it looks awesome. More pics after the jump.

 

I absolutely love this side that prominently shows our proud history and features the old school goalie, as well as the cool world champions patch and lists off all of our cups. Very well executed with the 20th anny logo on the chin for the current touch as well.

The same side but on an angle. Every time I see this beauty it looks better and better and reminds me that we need to make the heritage jersey our permanent one starting next year. Even Leafs fans like the heritage jersey.

And finally the back with the usual punisher logo and his name and number. Not sure what the JTA stands for me but I'm gonna guess it say it's the initials for his new child. If anyone knows feel free to send it in.

Overall this is one of the best goalie masks I've ever seen. It's about as close to perfection as you can get if you ask me.

Face Paint

McKenna Mask

Mike McKenna is pretty much penciled in as the backup in Binghamton, no matter what he spouts on twitter, but here is a look at his new mask. Interesting to see he went with the Ottawa "O" and Ottawa Senators logo instead of anything Binghamton. It seems a bit ambitious and pre mature but at least he's aiming high I guess. Senators Themed Goalie Mask

Every once and awhile you see a fan do something cool to show their passion for their team. Sometimes it's misguided like a horrible tattoo, but other times it's a cool tribute to your favorite squad, like this goalie mask, painted to honor the Sens. On the top of the mask they have gone with the old style "O" logo that has been used as side patches on our jersey's in recent years, and that will feature as the main logo on the new heritage jerseys coming soon. It also features some lightning and a flowing flag coming off the "O". It's a very solid start.

On the left side, the mask features Muppet character Animal rocking a 90's home jersey, which is still usually voted as the fans favorite jersey. On the right side, the mask has Ottawa's famous Peace Tower and of course the Canadian flag. While this mask isn't entirely my taste, it's still pretty cool to do on your own accord. I've been told this mask was made to be used to play in, so be on the lookout for a goalie wearing this next time you lace em up.
