Breaking News: Angels Sign CJ Wilson

C.J. Wilson will join Albert Pujols in Los Angeles, as he has just agreed to a five-year, $77.5MM deal. That means the Angels have spent $327.5MM on the last day Winter Meetings. I am not the biggest CJ Wilson fan, but it's tough to get pitching, and now the Angels have a lot of it.

The Angels rotation now is... Haren, Weaver, Wilson, Santana. They still need to figure out at 5th starter, but who doesn't. They might be able to fill that last spot by trading either Kendrys Morales or Mark Trumbo, who are not expendable after signing Pujols.

It's been a very expensive day for the Angels, but it has to be exciting to be of a fan of their right now.

Breaking News Albert Pujols An Angel

The LA Angels have agreed to a deal with Albert Pujols for 10 years and 250 million dollars.

I like this deal for the Angels but I hate the 10 year deal. Albert is great player and will be on pace for breaking pretty much every offensive category. But I am shocked and disappointed the Cardinals and he couldn't reach an agreement. Albert has been a cornerstone of that franchise and thought he would retire there. I don't think he will be near the player he has been in even 5 years, but the Angels need some serious offense and they got it.
